What is the High Performance State?
The high performance state serves as the foundation for success in any area of your life. When you’re in this state, you know it—you can feel it and measure it.
In the high performance state, you’re calm, confident, and curious. You respond to the present moment rather than react from automatic conditioning. Your heart rate variability (HRV) increases, giving you a greater capacity to handle challenges. Your mind becomes clear and resourceful, enabling you to make better decisions. Your brain is fully online, operating at its best.
Conversely, when we try to operate outside of the high performance zone, everything feels like a struggle, like swimming against the tide. Being in the high performance state makes it much easier to access the flow state, where we perform at our peak.
